How to connect two computers through Ethernet? Windows 10

Here are the steps to follow when you want to share files such as videos, audios, documents and other things between computers.

 By using crossover cable we can connect two windows 10 laptops; follow the steps bellow to connect.

Step #01:

 On your laptop 1 go to the network and internet setting and choose/select change adopter options

 Step #02:

Plug your crossover cable into both laptops then right click Ethernet (has red x on it), then select properties.

Step #03:

Select IPv4 then click properties

Step #04:

Select use the following IP address, then fill the IP address 192.168.0.1 and subnet mask 255.255.255.0 the click ok.

Step #05:

Go to the folder(s) which contain the things that you want to share with the next laptop then right click on it select Give access to, then select specific people

Step #06:

To choose people to share with on the drop down menu you can select everyone or you can create a new user then click Add, and on the bottom select share.

  Then repeat the same steps for the second computer but for the IP address fill 192.168.0.2 subnet mask 255.255.255.0 but the rest the same.

Step #07:

Press window button +E then on your left side click network then on the top you will see This computer is not connected to a network. Click to connect… click on that then select connect to a network.

ü  You will see the name of the next laptop click on it then you will see the folder(s) you shared.
